Children’s Ministry Lead

Welcome Church is a large, lively, diverse, multi-generational church in the centre of Woking, Surrey. Their vision in all that they do is to see Life Transformed Through Jesus. They regularly gather over 1000 adults, youth & children at their two Sunday meetings, as well as serving & engaging hundreds more during the week. 

Children’s Ministry Lead 

They are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and highly organised leader of leaders to oversee this area of church life. Working with a dedicated team of leaders and volunteers, this person will help create thriving, welcoming, and friendship-driven groups where children and families can belong and grow in their faith.

This individual will love Jesus, feel called to serve Him wholeheartedly, and have a genuine passion for seeing children and parents flourish in their faith. They will share the church’s heart to disciple children into a lifelong relationship with God — focusing not only on teaching the Bible but on the whole formation of their faith, building teams and structures that support their discipleship. They will bring strong organisational skills, able to coordinate, strategise, and inspire others to serve children and families effectively.

Above all, they will be a leader of leaders: someone who can recruit, equip, and nurture a high-quality volunteer team, ensuring they feel supported and valued while also calling them to work together passionately for the gospel in the lives of children and families.

Salary: £35,000 FTE

Hours: 22.5 hours (3 days) across the week
